As of August 31st I will happily be un-employed. I've had a long career as a sports book administrator, and quite frankly, I'm just fried. My employer, the venetian resort in las vegas has decided to outsource our sports book. Good luck to them. 17 years of limited vacation time, 17 years of high stress football seasons and march madness. GOOD BYE!!!!!  Kevin my husband said to me it was time to do something for myself. I had to agree!! So I'm now shopping airfare to get me and my 10yr DD Nova to Ip-Dip for the first time! Now here's the bad part, the airfare is $$$$. So my fingers are crossed. Its so high it costs more than the disney package by $200! Hoping for a sale.  |

sucks about the job but it does open doors to new things. I hope you both can make it. Let me know the dates and I can look for fares. Vinny made us wait and now we are paying double the price.  |

Leaving Las Vegas, early as we can Thur 10/20 Heading home, mid-day if we can find it Sun 10/23 Thanks for the help Scott. I've been looking at southwest airlines, and hoping they come down a bit. Total airfare for Nova and me: $825.60  Pop Century package: $692.01 It's just crazy. |

wow the prices are crazy. I tried using some tricks I know but they are all still really expensive.
We had the same problem and that is why we are driving out to Long Island and flying from there. Saved us around $200.
I will keep checking on and off.

So after driving myself crazy for the past few weeks I just decided to go for it. Nova and I are booked! wed 10/19 - arrive 2:50pm thr 10/20 - easy day, then MNSSHP fri 10/21 - ak, ip-dinner sat 10/22 - dhs sun 10/23 - home, early flight Maybe I should have taken more time to think, maybe the airfares would have come down a bit more. maybe, maybe.... As Kevin said to me, I'm all wound up about stuff and need to do this. Sometimes husbands know best. |
