Our last day is here and we were going to the airport early so we hung out at the resort. We called bell services to take our luggage and Owners Locker (the best thing) down and then we went to the Magical Express.
The bus came on time and we were on our way to the airport. The driver was great. He told us facts and about something of an alligator that he sees sometimes.
We went to the food court and got breakfast. I had Mickey D’s and Vinny got something from Panda Express. Security was quick and we had to do the full body scanner. I do not see the big deal. Vinny was looking at it for the scan till I told him it goes to a room. LOL
Then it was time to hang by the gate. I did have a Starbucks coffee while we waited and read. Boarding was on time and soon we were taxiing on the runway. We had absolutely no wait, first time in Orlando that happened, and we were off.
I really do hate takeoff. The flight was uneventful most of the way. 2 bloody mary’s and I was still nervous. We got to NYC area and had to do circles waiting over the Long Island Sound by Connecticut and it was turbulent. I hated it. Then finally we were cleared to land. We came in and it was weird seeing White Plains from the air. We came in fast and it was windy and I knew it was not going to be pretty and it wasn’t. As we came down and touched the ground the plane bounced. I mean BOUNCED. I nearly crapped. I hated it.
We disembarked and waited maybe 5 minutes for our luggage. The Westchester airport is so great for easy in and out and quickness.
Got to the car and we were heading home. First I had to pay for parking. 8 days = $268.00 Holy crap. That is really expensive. I think it is worth it for the convenience of the airport.
The trip was a good one. Some of the food choices were not good but overall it was good.
No need to do a party for a while now.
Loved AKL. What a beautiful resort. If you stay there get a savannah room it is so worth it.
The cruise was so worth it and highly recommended.
Seeing old and new friends is always the highlight.
Thank you for reading along and to the MO’s who have welcomed me on their site.
Stay tuned…April trip is only 92 days away.
